Hannah Skeates is co-head of Sustainable Investing at Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM). She is jointly responsible for creating and executing on a holistic vision for sustainable investing within the organization while also influencing the objectives and approach across the Wealth & Investment Management division and Wells Fargo. Hannah joined WFAM in early 2019 as global head of environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Hannah served as head of global ESG strategy at S&P Dow Jones Indices. She originated the Sustainable iShares exchange-traded fund business at BlackRock as iShares’ global head of sustainable investments. Earlier in her career, Hannah was part of the team that launched the first iShares at Barclays Global Investors, later becoming head of product strategy and head of business strategy for iShares in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She began her career as a portfolio manager. Hannah was a senior associate at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). She was involved in the concept development for CISL’s Centre for Sustainable Finance and the design and setup of the investment sector business platform: the Investment Leaders Group. She earned a master of arts degree with honors in archaeology from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland
