Maya is a third generation family member who joined Grupo Protexa, a family owned and privately held company that has contributed to the transformation of Mexico since 1945, in 2005 and is currently the VP for Corporate Governance and Family Office. She has been involved in the development and implementation of the five boards of the company as well as the consolidation of the Family Office. In her role, she serves as the liaison between the shareholders, board and management and facilitates the family assembly meetings. Maya has championed the effort to implement family governance as well as an education program for current and future shareholders. She currently chairs the Protexa Foundation Board and holds a seat on the Family Council. Outside of the company, she participates on the American School of Monterrey Board. Maya and her husband, Morice, live in Monterrey with their 3 children.
